Simply Calphalon 6 Piece Bakeware Set

Customer Review: Love The Set
I bought 2 of these sets ( I have a large family )They are a good weight , appear to be made very well. I am extremely happy with my purchases.

One of my passions is cooking and as a professional cook I find this set to be one of the best I have used, as well as home cooking.

The consideration why Circulon was my first choice are as fellow.

Price - It's a bit expensive, but, compared to other professional cookware (i.e. All Clad, Calphalon, Kitchen Aid...) it really does stand up to these more expensive cookware lines! I did find a great price for my 10 pc set at homeconnectiondirect.com so for me it was not an issue.

The distribution of heat is very impressive. Especially for cooking sauce your chances to burn food using this cookware is slim to none. Circulon does not lie when they say there is even heating..

Sleek stainless steel handles Elegantly designed cast stainless steel handles are riveted permanently to the pan or lid for maximum stability and durability. And with soft silicone Comfort Grips, they really do stay cool for a touch even when it's being used for a long time. No need for a potholder to lift the pan up.

The look steel rims encircle break-resistant glass lids, striking the perfect balance between sophistication and practicality. Allow you to watch foods cook without losing flavor and nutrients. The sleek style and look of these pots make them a great addition to your kitchen. My pots receive many compliments from friends and family who see them for the first time. The fun look makes it fun to use!

Cleanup is never a chore. The unique nonstick exterior means easy clean

Finally,

That is why."I give Circulon" a 5 star rating. You will not regret buying them.

Calphalon Contemporary Stainless Steel 12qt Stockpot

A simply beautiful, large capacity stock pot in all stainless steel, to meet all your simmering needs and complement your contemporary kitchen. With a heavy-gauge aluminum inner core that conducts heat evenly throughout, and a domed tempered cover for see-through convenience that doesn't compromise presentation. Sculpted handles that will stay cool on the stove-top. Lifetime Warranty.

I have been cooking for many years and have used a variety of kitchenware. Recently I tried some a new kind that is not only very affordable but does and outstanding job. Their products require a little bit of additional care, but if you are looking for the best kitchenware for your money than the premium quality Caphalon One Nonstick cookware.

Why Calphalon One Nonstick Is The Best Kitchenware

Calphalon One Nonstick is a revolution in nonstick durability. The inside surface features a matrix of four interlocking nonstick layers, each of which contributes to the kitchenware's long-lasting performance. Calphalon One Nonstick delivers perfect food release with even the stickiest foods. There is no need to use added fats when cooking with Calphalon One Nonstick and low-fat cooking is a breeze. By means of an exclusive anodization process the exterior surface of Caphalon One Nonstick cookware is infused with an advanced polymer that prevents staining so that clean-up is effortless, both inside and out. These pans have been my go to kitchenware set ever since I got a set last year.

The only difficult thing with them is that you can not use a dishwasher to clean. Just soap and hot water should get the trick done. In addition you must wait until the pans are cool before attempting to clean them. Cleaning them while they are hot can ruin the finish, so wait until they cool down. At first I thought this was going to be a real problem, but the surface on the Caphalon pans is so well designed that they literally take seconds to clean. I know it may seem to be a chore to hand clean these, but think of all the room you will save in your dishwasher. In fact because of this you probably will end up actually saving time.

The best thing about these pans is how little oil it takes to cook in them. This not only helps to keep your diet low fat, but keeps your kitchen appliances clean as well. I have never been able to cook an egg as well as I can with my Caphalon pans. Eggs come out absolutely perfect every time.

If you still are convinced enough to even take a look at a Caphalon set, the last point is how relatively inexpensive they are. You can get a full set of ten pans for a couple hundred dollars. While this is not cheap if taken care of this should be the last set of pots and pans you will ever need. Hopefully you take my advice and take a look at a set today.

Some people prefer the durability and looks of stainless, others find Calphalon cookware offers its own special brand of beauty and plenty of perks, as well. Considered by many to be a viable rival to the classic cooking material found in many homes and professional kitchens, Calphalon cookware offers many of the advantages of stainless without some of its disadvantages.

The trademark of Calphalon pots and pans lies in its hard-anodized surface. This electro-chemical process hardens aluminum, actually making it stronger than stainless. The end result is a pan that's beautiful, durable and darn hard to beat.

Here are some commonly asked questions about Calphalon cookware and the anodizing process itself:

What is hard-anodizing?
This process involves taking aluminum and putting it in an acid bath where it undergoes chemical changes. The final product results when aluminum mixes with oxygen to create aluminum oxide. A pan that has undergone this process will typically be about 30 percent hard than steel.

Why consider this process?
Hard-anodized pans are very durable. They do not chip, peel or stain easily. They also offer an interesting visual appearance that's a matte cross between stainless and cast iron.

Will this finish cause problems with food?
No. The end result of this process is a product that is nontoxic, doesn't peel and does not decompose. The only thing that can really damage it is extremely high heat.

What happens with stuck on food?

The reality is Calphalon cookware and other similar products are very difficult to manage to get food stuck on. The fairly nonporous material that results from the chemical process makes sticking difficult to say the least.

How do you clean this type of pot or pan?

Generally all that is necessary to clean this type of cookware is soapy water and a nylon scouring sponge. It can even withstand scouring powder without losing its looks if food is stuck on particularly hard.

Is this type of pan versatile?

In that it can withstand temperatures very well, yes. But, it is not recommended for use in food storage. The fact of the matter is, it is almost never a good idea to use a pot or pan for storing food. Since they aren't air tight, bacteria can grow. Really, it's never recommended that food be stored in a pan.

Is this cookware expensive?

The answer to that is yes and no. The price tag on Calphalon cookware tends to be pretty high, but considering the durability, many feel it is worth every penny. These pans, like stainless, are very difficult to damage or destroy. This means one set can last a lifetime. With this in mind, many people feel a purchase of this type of cookware is an investment, so they expect to pay a bit more on the front end.

Calphalon cookware offers an interesting alternative to stainless. Providing a surface that is stick resistant, a look that is very attractive and durability that is simply hard to match, this type of cookware is fast becoming a popular choice for many cooks and chefs.

Customer Review: terrific all purpose pan
I recieved this pan directly from Calphalon as a warranty replacement for my 3 quart commercial nonstick saute pan. I absolutely love it! I had to send my other pan back because after 3 years of use and proper care, the nonstick coating started to come off. I have had this pan for about a year now, and it has actually outperformed my old pan! I use it almost everyday. The size is perfect for our family of 4! And the coating is very slick! No troubles cleaning it up. You will love this pan!
Customer Review: The Best

Customer Review: deteriorates fast
I only used the baking sheet a few times. It already lost the coating on the bottom and it has some rust on the sides.
Customer Review: Almost Really Good
I was really pleased with the muffin pan, cake pans and loaf pan. However, the sheet pan buckled in the oven when baking cookies. I really expected better quality from Calphalon. The set is still a value, even without the baking sheet.

Calphalon® One Nonstick is the first cookware that combines infused anodized technology with an innovative nonstick cooking surface. Four interlocking nonstick layers on the inner surface enhance the cookware's durability and exceptional performance. An advanced polymer is infused into the pans' exteriors to prevent staining and maintain durability. Calphalon One Nonstick promotes healthy, low-fat cooking because little to no added fats are needed. Even the stickiest of foods release flawlessly, so clean-up is a breeze. Riveted handles are expertly balanced and ergonomically contoured for comfortable use. Flaunting great attention to detail, the tight-fitting tempered glass lids lock in flavor and assist in cooking. All items feature a lifetime warranty.
Customer Review: Over-priced...
I own this pan and indeed this is a good pan. Actually Calphalon One series is a great pans to own. These pans are especially good for browning, for their excellent heat distribution and the superior non-stick surface. However you do not buy the browning for 4 qt. pan. The surface contour is not flat for good browning purpose either. This is pan is currently listed as $184.95 and it is "over-priced". I bought this pan less than half the price at a local store. For even that price, I thought it was bit over-priced. It is a great pan but it is not worth near $200 you pay for. It has a decent non-stick surface and but is like another 4qt. pan you use for stew or to make sauces.
Customer Review: Calphalon 4 qt Chef's pan
If you want the "perfect" chef's pan...this is it! The quality is outstanding....and the size is "just right"...not too small and not too big!! Go for it! It's worth every penny!

Calphalon Simply Stainless 12 Piece Cookware Set

Kitchen canister sets are a great way to accent your kitchen and give you more storage space. Canister sets of today come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes and colors. Finding the right kitchen canister set depends on your individual tastes and what theme, if any, the kitchen is. Many manufactures including All-Clad, Calphalon and Fleur Rouge have a wide assortment to choose from.

When deciding which canisters to add to your kitchen also keep in mind the different kinds. A canister can be found made from stainless steel, glass, acrylic and stoneware. Families with children may want to consider acrylic or stainless steel for durability and long life.

Another consideration is how they fit the theme or go with everything else. Many sets follow a kitchen theme such as chickens, grapes or a country theme. These can fit right in and highlight the overall kitchen design. Guzzini, Fleur Rouge, Polder and some others have canisters or sets in such designs.

The advantages of different canisters should also be looked at. For those with a modern kitchen the stainless steel makes a great impression on the counter. Acrylic or glass gives you a view of what's inside, and how much is left. Stoneware gives the option of beautiful colors and long storage for food.

If you have food that is easily or quickly spoiled look for canisters that have rubber seals on the rim and a locking device to seal the sets tight against spoilage.

Online shopping for canisters is both easy and fun. Browse through the shops to get some ideas of what you might want. Purchasing is quick and secure and nothing beats the "to your door" service they provide. Shop for the perfect set of canisters today to complete your kitchen.

Calphalon Commercial Hard-Anodized 7-Piece Cookware Set

This seven-piece cookware set is deluxe: it outfits a kitchen for a lifetime of essential cooking needs. The virtues of Calphalon's anodized aluminum are highly praised among cooks: even heat distribution, stick-resistant surfaces, quick heating and cooling, durable construction, and attractive design. The set includes one fry pan (or omelet pan, as Calphalon calls them); one lidded saucepan, perfect for making a variety of sauces, simmering side dishes, or cooking small batches of soup; an 8-quart lidded stockpot that will handle the gamut from pasta to soup to corn; and a true gem, a chef's pan, great for everyday cooking and effectively blends the functions of sauté pan and saucepan. The details of these pots make them especially satisfying to use: riveted stainless-steel handles are sturdy and stay cool while cooking, lids fit easily and seal in juices, the stick-resistant finish means you need only use a minimum amount of oil, and the pans are all safe for the oven and broiler. Care for these pans with consideration for the long, useful life they offer: always wash them by hand with mild cleaners. --Sherry Smith

What's in the Box
10-inch omelet pan; 2-1/2-quart saucepan with lid; 4-quart chef's pan with lid; 8-quart stock pot with lid
Customer Review: Great pots, good selection
I have a lot of Calphalon in my kitchen- it's all I use on the stovetop aside from a couple of cast iron skillets, a wok, and a really big stainless stockpot. But it's the Calphalon that handle the bulk of the day to day cooking. As others have noted, they're tough, and they have great heat conductivity. This set is pretty close to what I'd buy for starters, too; it comes pretty close to what I have hanging over the stove right now. One caveat if you're not familiar with Calphalon: The anodized coating is super hard, but the typical alkaline detergents used in dishwashers will damage it. You have to hand scrub your Calphalon, or find a ph-neutral detergent.
Customer Review: Essential for both home and professional cooks
I purchased this set for my first apartment as a cooking enthusiast. I am now attending culinary school and every pot and pan looks as perfect as the day I bought them, even with constant heavy-duty use. In regards to other reviewers who have complained about food sticking to the pan: the pans must be preheated to an appropriate tempurature for the food you are cooking; or don't move food around in the pan before it's "set". With proper cooking technique you will have no problems, food will slide right off the pan. The main reason I chose the hard anodized is for its quick, even heating and durability, perfect for searing and finishing in the oven or broiler. The material is thick, won't warp in a 500 degree oven, and doesn't need any special utensils. And I don't have to worry about cleaning baked on grease - soaking the pan shortly in soapy water takes care of it. Clean up is simple - these are much easier to get squeaky clean than any of the numerous stainless steel and copper pans I have. Once in a while I use Dormond cleaner to keep the black finish dark and satiny. My only complaint is that Calphalon no longer makes skillets (or omelette pans as they call them) without a nonstick finish. I recently purchased the Calphalon One infused anodized skillet and have not used it long enough to test its durability, but its the next best thing.

I like to cook. Because I do I like to buy professional kitchen cookware sets. My very favorite set is my LeCreuset. It's enameled cast iron. It's very heavy cookware, and certainly not everyone would want to cook with it, but then I don't like lightweight aluminum pots and pans. I prefer my LeCreuset because I think that the outside enamel remains good looking, whereas some aluminum and stainless pots and pans have finishes that are easily scratched. Luckily if you're in the market for professional cookware you have a lot to choose from.

Most cookware manufacturers such as All Clad, Cuisinart, Viking, Calphalon, Kuhn Rikon, Chantal and Mauviel all make a variety of cookware of differing quality. Mauviel is known for their copper cookware. They also have a line of 7-ply cookware. This cookware has an aluminum core for excellent heat conductivity. It has a durable brushed stainless steel surface on the inside and a highly polished stainless steel surface on the outside. Viking professional cookware has a multi-ply construction. It's a combination of aluminum alloys and stainless steel which Viking says will give "lifetime performance, durability, easy cleanup and quick even heating". What sets these pots apart are their ergonomic stainless steel handles and extra large lids.

Another popular cookware manufacturer is Demeyere. Demeyere has a line of induction cookware, something new to a lot of cooks and very expensive. These induction pots and pans have 7-ply construction and use materials that limit heat to 250 degrees celsius. This can actually prevent many foods from burning.

A much more easily affordable quality cookware set is All Clad. They offer several different types of cookware, the All Clad Copper Core and the All Clad Master-Chef 2. The Culinary Institute of America also has a cookware set out called the CIA Masters Collection. It was designed by the certified master chefs at the CIA. It has a 7-clad construction and a copper core.

The professional cookware sets that we've mentioned above range in price from $1900 to $600 for a 10-piece set. Most of them offer multi-ply, and, as in the case of CIA and Demeyere, 7-ply. Most have copper cores, aluminum interiors and stainless steel exteriors. So how do you choose?

The way most people choose is money and appearance. My suggestion would be to buy one pot, or pan if possible before you buy an entire set. That way you can use the cookware and see if you really like it before you commit to it.

Calphalon Tri Ply Stainless Steel Tapas Pans, Set of 2

Perfect for sharing, tapas are small dishes that are a blast to pass around and enjoy. Cook up and serve your own tapas with this set of two pans, shining in durable, mirror-polished 18/10 stainless steel inside and out. The stainless steel encapsulates an aluminum core for fast, even heating. The easy-grip handles stay cool on the stovetop, providing safe transport from stovetop to table. Limited lifetime warranty.
Customer Review: Great for single servings
Very good quality pans. I like the handles and you can hang the pans from a pot rack. I use these pans multiple times a week, mainly to make eggs "sur la plat" for breakfast or a light meal. Heat pan on the stove top, add butter or oil and (optionally) saute a small amount of onions, peppers or a few spoonfuls of almost any leftovers. Add 1-3 eggs (crack the eggs into a small dish first if you want to be extra careful not to get broken yolks or pieces of shell), and salt, and cook without stirring until whites are beginning to set. Finish by (optionally) topping with a little cheese and then broiling or toasting in a toaster oven until done. This is super easy, easier to do than to describe! Remove from heat and eat right from the pan. Remember the pan is hot, you might need to set it on a potholder at the table. I'm sure these pans would be good for all sorts of single serving dishes, including tapas of course.
Customer Review: Superb quality
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality in these pans. Both are incredibly thick and heavy and it really drives the message home that Calphalon made an effort to create quality for significantly less money than it's competitor, All-Clad namely. I would recommend these pans to anyone however please realize that these pans are small as are Tapas in Spain. Do not expect to make a 3 person meal in these pans unless you are feeding a family of Little People. They are ideal for appetizer sized portions and double as beautiful serving dishes.

Kitchen Essentials® from Calphalon® 10-pc. Styleware Set - Red

Kitchen Essentials® from Calphalon® Stainless Steel 9-pc. Cookware Set

Calphalon Traditional 4-Piece Forged Steak Knife Set with Wooden Storage Tray

The semiserrated edges on these four knives make precise cuts or long slices and are ideal for steak, roast chicken, pork chops, or whatever meat you're serving. For durability, the knives are fully forged of one piece of rust- and stain-resistant, high-carbon stainless steel that runs through blade, bolster, and tang. The full tang offers balance and strength when slicing and is triple-riveted to the poly resin handle. The handle is reinforced with fiberglass to prevent moisture from getting between the rivets. These traditional-style steak knives come in a slotted wooden tray for safe storage in a drawer when not in use. Calphalon knives are covered by a lifetime warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde
Customer Review: Consistent Rust Stains
Despite my by-the-book care of these knives, I still get rust stains that are nearly impossible to get off. I do not have that problem with other knives in my collection, but these clean up like cheap steel. Not very attractive, and you don't want to eat with them.
Customer Review: I do wish Amazon would be a little more honest with Calphalon 'savings'....
If you visit the Calphalon site (www.calphalon.com), you will see that the 'suggested retail' is $49.95! Thus, your 'real' savings are in free shipping. Also, these knives are manufactured in China, not in Germany or the USA. Despite this, they are, as another reviewer stated, superior to stamped blades.

Calphalon Commercial Hard-Anodized 9-Piece Cookware Set

Update your kitchen with this handsome nine-piece cookware set from Calphalon. The charcoal-gray matte finish of the Commercial Hard-Anodized series not only looks sophisticated but is impressive in performance: it sears meats over medium heat, cooks evenly, and stays stick-resistant without having a nonstick finish that can eventually peel. Moreover, hard-anodized pots and pans are safe to use with metal utensils and under the broiler. Riveted on for strength, the stainless-steel Cool V handles stay cool during stovetop cooking and are oven-safe, as are the lids.

Covering all the basics, this set consists of a 2-1/2-quart covered shallow saucepan; 8-, 10-, and 12-inch open skillets; and 3- and 7-quart covered chef's casseroles. The lid on the larger casserole is domed to send moisture and flavors back into the pot for succulent meat dishes. You'll find low to medium heat is the best temperature range for this fast-heating cookware. After use, wash by hand. Though it's still covered by a lifetime warranty, Calphalon discontinued the Commercial Hard-Anodized line in 2004 and replaced it with Calphalon One Infused Anodized. --Ann Bieri

What's in the Box
9-piece cookware set. The set consists of: 2-1/2-quart covered shallow saucepan; 8-, 10-, and 12-inch open skillets; 3- and 7-quart covered chef's casseroles. 9 pieces total.
Customer Review: Great Set for a good price
This is my first set of Calphalon cookware and I'm impressed. There is a learning curve though, you MUST let them warm up slowly and cook on a lower temperature of ALL your food will stick. I see a lot of the bad reviews for this product are people complaining that everything sticks. It only sticks if you treat it like a teflon coated pan. A little butter (I use earth balance) and cooking on a lower temp and nothing sticks! I recommend this as a great quality set for a low price (I paid $139 on memorial day sale), but also look at the Farberware sets. They are cheaper and work just about as well.Calphalon Commercial Hard-Anodized 9-Piece Cookware Set
Customer Review: Great product
I already had two pieces of Calphalon when this opportunity came available to purchase the 9 piece set. You get the ease of cast iron with the light weight and easy to clean hard-anodized surface. It cooks evenly without burning and I love it.

This 7-piece set includes a nylon slotted spoon, a nylon slotted turner, a medium wooden spoon, a wooden all-purpose turner, a small silicone scraper, a large silicone scraper, and the stainless steel crock.
Customer Review: Calphalon mixed utensil set
Calphalon 7-Piece Mixed Utensil Crock Set Nice set, I'm sure there are better, but I do like the Calphalon brand.
Customer Review: Not extremly impressed like the other Calphalon Pots & Pans, but still good
Got this as a free gift for purchasing $400+ Calphalon. It wasn't as impressive as the 10pc set or the 12" Wok. Though this set is still a huge improvement over my Fabreware set. #1 It resists heat better. The flat piece what works with the wok, you can leave it laying on the wok, and it won't leave a burn mark. #2 The wood doesn't get damaged with water and oil. #3 The shape & angle of the big spoon is good for soup. Sounds like tiny thing, but with a good angle, you can spoon soup easier and without getting it all over the place. #4 It's FREE!! That alone deserves 1 extra bonus star. If I actually had to paid $50 for this set, then it would be overpriced. Though the heat resistance is good, but really don't need to spend $50 for this. $25 - $30 is more reasonable.
